BUXTON CIVIC ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL POLAR PLUNGE

Start the New Year the Buxton way — with a run straight into the Atlantic!

After an incredible turnout for our very first Polar Plunge, the Buxton Civic Association is bringing it back for 2027. 

Join your friends, neighbors, visitors, and fellow brave (or slightly crazy) souls on the beautiful beaches of Buxton on New Year’s Day for a cold dip, a lot of laughs, and a pretty unforgettable way to kick off the year.

The 2027 BCA Polar Plunge begins at 10:00 AM on January 1st. Plungers of all ages are welcome — whether you charge straight into the waves, cautiously wade in, or need a friend to convince you that this was a good idea.

More than just a good time, the Polar Plunge is a fundraiser for the Buxton Civic Association, helping us continue our work to strengthen our community, bring people together, and protect and preserve the place we’re lucky enough to call home.
